On 28 August, Lewis Singletary will be cycling 100km around North Devon in aid of UNISON’s charity, There for You.
“I’ve recently joined UNISON as a general manager for Croyde Bay, and I’ve learnt a lot about how integral There for You is for members,” he says.
“The ride is a real challenge – it has 1,600 meters of elevation. But I’m hoping to raise as much money as I can to help people less fortunate that me.
“We have 1.3 million members. If everyone gave a pound or 50p, I could make a serious donation.”
There for You supported 2,265 members in 2024, with £857,193 awarded in financial support. It is a vital resource to members who are experiencing financial and emotional difficulties.
