Skills for Strength is UNISON North West’s annual organising convention. It’s an opportunity to share experiences from the last year and learn new skills from organisers & campaigners from across the movement.
It’s being held on 9th March 2024 from 09:30 – 16:30 at The Mechanics Institute, best known as the birthplace of the British Trades Union Congress (TUC) which was founded in the building in 1868 and is also the birthplace of the Co-operative Insurance Society and UMIST.
The Mechanics Institute is located in Manchester city centre (near to the corner of Portland Street and Princess Street) with convenient transport links for bus, train or Metro travellers & numerous car parks for visitors arriving by car.
