Help shape the future of PIPs

  • 24 March 2026

UNISON has consistently called for any changes to Personal Independence Payments (PIP) to be shaped by the people who rely on them.

Disabled workers and our members must be listened to and not sidelined where decisions that affect their independence and financial security are concerned.

As part of the Timms review of PIP, the Timms steering group is asking for evidence on how PIP works and what should change. This is a key chance for your lived experience to influence the review.

If you receive PIP, support someone who does, or work with people affected by the benefit, we’re urging you to take part.

Your views and experiences can help make sure any reforms improve support, not reduce it.

If you’d like to share your experiences with UNISON’s disability equality team or need support responding, please get in touch. disabilityissues@unison.co.uk

This call for evidence closes at 11:59pm on 28 May.
