Donate to show solidarity with members at Livv Housing

  • 24 March 2025
Christina McAnea joined Livv Housing members on the picket line earlier this year

UNISON is launching a national appeal to support members at Livv Housing on Merseyside, who are taking strike action in a long-running dispute that stems from years of below-inflation pay increases.

The union says the employer must make an offer that goes some way to addressing a real-terms pay cut of 30% since 2011.

Members began a new round of action today and lasting until 4 April.

Speaking at the UNISON’s community seminar in February, general secretary Christina McAnea said: “The Livv Housing workers are standing together and standing up for each other. They’re in dispute, seeking fair pay and facing some truly shocking behaviour from their employer.”

“I joined them on the picket line and spoke with members earlier this month. I want Livv Housing members to know that you have my full support and the full support of our union.”

If you can donate to the appeal, the details are as follow:

Account number: 36001426

Sort code: 60-83-01

Cheques should be made payable to UNISON Knowsley and sent to UNISON Knowsley Branch, c/o KMBC, 1st Floor, Stretton Way, Huyton, L36 6JF.

Please reference Livv strike.
