With 3,500 Members it has more Stewards than all the other Sefton Council unions put together. BEST - We are an active, campaigning and dedicated collection of people - some are seconded from their 'normal jobs', others become Stewards within their own workplace, or contact people or activists. We know we are by far the best union for those working for Sefton Council and public services within the borough - but if you do not believe us - go and ask any Senior Manager, anywhere in Sefton, who would they rather have in opposition in a Hearing, or presenting a grievance, or defending a Member in a Disciplinary or Sickness Absence Meeting or negotiating terms and conditions and we guarantee they will not want UNISON.
